Day 3 - Surfs up !!!

Well the solar panel and deep cycle batteries all seem to work well enough,  which is to say mine and Pete’s wiring skills are adequate as we were off grid last night with an unpowered site and relied only on the batteries and solar.  The fridge ran all night and we ran some lights so all is good with the system.  Not bad for two 38AmpH Aldi batteries (connected in parallel ( I remembered my yr9 science lesson on electric circuits).

After an awesome surf at East Cape (Marlo) this morning, I am writing this from the Marlo Pub.  The plan is to go back for and arvo surf and then spend another night in Marlo.  Malacootta or Eden tomorrow. 

Oh yeah ,  if you are having trouble posting a comment you need to either login to Google + first then post or choose the name option instead of google option when promoted. The URL is optional.  It seems to work better if using a PC.
