Day 5 - Avoid sharks and Psychopaths

Today we woke in our idyllic campsite with ocean views and headed off to check out the surf.  The ocean was calm that day my friends but the glass like surface was cut by a fin, right about where we would have paddled out to !!! It turned out to be a pod of four beautiful dolphins, but for a moment there it did look like a rather sizable Noah !!!! I know shark would have made a much better tale but what evs. Surf was rubbish anyway so we decided to head on up the coast, stopping at Eden for lunch.

At lunch I started to research a campsite for tonight and found a great looking free campsite deep in the forest about 2 hrs drive away.  Looked great until I read  a couple of reviews on my air camper app that were posted over the previous couple of days.  Turns out there was a crazy bushman that had an issue with campers and was abusing and intimidating them to leave.  I was so torn between wanting the adventure of fronting the crazies and not wanting to freak Quiddy out.  Any way memories of Wolf Creek leant me towards looking elsewhere.  We ended up with what I suspect was the last campsite in Pambula.  Had a quick surf, a game of beach down ball ( I won 2-1), then hit the pub for dinner. Back to the campsite and I closed the gap to 10-9 in chess (Quid’s up), but I reckon I have his measure now.

I think it’s gonna be a scorcher tomorrow ( in the 40’s) which should make for and interesting night in the Vanie.  Which reminds me... we clocked up 1000 kms as we rolled into Pambula.

I see you ate vegetables today. Dani will be happy. There was Tomato sauce with the fish and chips. Which is made from tomato’s, .... which is a fruit.

Never mind.

Glad Quiddy’s first driving lesson was a success.
I wanna see the shirt surfing.

Not so fun fact. Male dolphins are really mean lovers and nasty to their lady friends. Bad Flipper!
