Day 6- Bluebottles at Eurobodella National Park

We left Pambula early this morning and continued North up the coast towards Bateman’s Bay. We are headed for a bush campsite perched between Lake Brou and the Beach in the Eurobodella National Park, just North of Narooma. Arrived about 11.00 making it easy to get good spot in the shade.  After paying between $38 and $50 per night for unpowered sites it is good to camp for free occasionally.  We have a few more picked out from the Aircamp App which we intend to use when we can. Vanie Mc Van face is pretty self sufficient power wise so we don’t need much by way of facilities.

We set up camp,  met the neighbors and then headed to the beach about 100 metres down a bush track.  A 200 metre strip of beach separates the ocean from a massive lake.  The beach was not much chop for surfing, plus there were a half dozen Portuguese Man-O-War jellyfish (Bluebottles) washed up in the beach so I only took a very quick dip to cool off from the beach downball, before spending the arvo in the lake throwing a ball around and playing classic catches with the Quid.

Bloody sharks posing as Dolphins and now deadly jellyfish seem to be conspiring to keep us from the surf.

I am about to cook some snags on the barbie for dinner whilst Quid does his homwork (reading Night by Elie Wiesel - about the holorcaust) and then the chess battle continues.

I'm betting $50 Quiddy took the bluebottle shot. It't a rippa!
