Steve Biddulph has a lot to answer for! Inspired by Steve’s book Raising Boys, here is a boy on the verge of manhood, a man who never really grew up, a Mitsubishi van that’s seen better days, two surfboards and a dream. They say the most amazing thing you can give your kids is your time. This Summer father and son will hit the road for what is most definitely not about the destination. It’s all about the journey.

Day 9 - The big smoke
After farewelling the Austin’s in Conjola we made our way 200 clicks up the coast to Sydney where we set up camp in the Austin’s Hurstville driveway (thanks Tony and Mary). Arriving about 3.30p, we jumped on the local train and headed into Sydney for some sightseeing. Quiddy was particularly excited to see all of Sydney’s iconic land marks. We even jumped on a ferry to Manly for a quick look around. Stopped for a pancake dinner in the Rocks which Quiddy just thought was the ants pants as he had bacon, pancakes, with pineapple and banana fritters ( with ice cream of course).
